I am a drama practitioner and a researcher. I specialise in performative language teaching and research, that is, second language education through the arts. My practice is influenced by my experience as a second language teacher and my training in process drama, Butoh and voice work.
I work as a lecturer in Arts Education at Trinity College Dublin. As part of my role, I act as the coordinator for the Master in Education (M.Ed.), a programme that features 48 modules across 12 strands. I teach the Embodying Language module (M.Ed., Language strand), Drama Summer School (M.Ed., Drama in Education Strand) and Arts Education module (Professional Master of Education). I supervise many Master’s, PME and Ph.D. students.
